Craig LeVee, Owner
Craig came to Roo Lan in 1985 and has been deeply involved in the facility ever since. In more than 30 years of leadership, he has always believed in two simple principles. The first is that the best people provide the best care, Craig has worked hard to ensure that Roo Lan has some of the most experienced and qualified care givers in the region. The second principle is that Roo Lan will always provide quality care regardless of background, ethnicity, or finances.
Karen Ponton, MHA: Administrator
A former US Air Force Captain, Karen acquired her calm leadership style while flying refueling tankers for fighters on long sorties. After leaving the service, Karen went to school and received a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Abilene Christian University. She now has more than 10 years of experience in healthcare and has served as Roo Lan’s Administrator since 2013.
Sherry McBride, RN: Director of Nursing
Sherry has been caring for others since she was 12 when her uncle was in a bad car accident and needed someone to watch over him while he recovered. She now has 30 years of experience in skilled-nursing since graduating from Seattle Central Community College as a Registered Nurse. Sherry has spent a decade of her career at Roo Lan and her knowledge of the facility and it’s staff makes her an invaluable team member.
McKenzie Bracy, LPN: Admissions Coordinator
Having been around nurses since childhood, McKennzie has always liked helping people. Her mom was a nurse manager and she was inspired to follow in her footsteps after years of tagging along with her to work. McKennzie went on to get her LPN at Concorde Career Institute in Arlington Texas. She now has more than 10 years of experience and is currently training to become a full RN when she’s not at work or spending time with her two boys.
Shuedavi Hussein, RN: Floor Nurse
When Shuedavi came to America, she had already decided she wanted to be a nurse. Although the white cap and uniform initially caught her interest, it was the idea that nurses saved lives that most influenced her career. Shuedavi now has more than 20 years of experience as a nurse. Her patience and love of interacting with guests and hearing their stories has made her one of Roo Lan’s most skilled staff members.
Lory Hull, Dietary Manager
Lory has been serving guests at Roo Lan delicious meals for more than 10 years now. She has spent her entire life around food starting with her first job at Country Cousins Diner as a waitress. When she’s not preparing meals tailored to the needs of those under her care, Lory tries to make our guests feel like they’re home through food. An avid baker, Lory loves to fill the halls of Roo Lan with the smell of fresh baked cookies, muffins, and other delicious treats.
Catherine Rubia Muita, LPN: Staff Development Director & Infection Control Nurse
Catherine is a mother, wife and mentor to women walking various seasons in life. With her AA in Nursing studies, Mrs. Rubia has been a nurse for 15 years. Her experience includes positions as a Long-term Care/Resident Care Director at an Assisted Living Memory Care for several years in addition to being a Nurse Educator and pediatric nurse in the community- city of Fort-worth, Texas. Her interests include cooking, dancing, visiting new places and mission trips in her capacity as a licensed minister!
