Roo Lan’s Senior Health Fair Was a Huge Success

A Great Turnout!!

On Thursday, June 6th, Roo Lan sponsored its’ 2nd annual Health Fair at the Lacey Community Center.  The theme of this year’s event was “Protect Your Health & Wealth” and over 100 seniors attended this year’s fair!

Covering the  ‘Protect Your Wealth’ part of the event’s theme, speakers from the Attorney General’s office, the Federal Trade Commission and the Secretary of State were the three key speakers.  These presenters covered invaluable information for the assembled audience regarding RoboCalls, Charitable Scams, Identity Theft etc.  Representatives from the Department of Financial Institutions, Insurance Commissioner and Public Utilities were also in attendance to offer additional resources and information as needed.

Classroom presenters covered the ‘Protect Your Health’ portion of the event, with classes such as “Home Health vs. Home Care – What’s the Difference” and Providence’s “Five Wishes” class.  Complimentary breakfast and lunch were provided and over a dozen folks were winners of the many raffle prizes!  Thanks to Clair Ferris of Funeral Alternatives for his great photos, to see them all click on this link:
