Registered Nurse (RN), Night Shift

Roo Lan Health Care is looking to add some experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) to assume to the role of a Floor Charge/Treatment Nurse in our skilled-nursing facility here in Lacey. This position is responsible for the assigning and directing healthcare efforts by all staff during their particular 8-hour shift.

Location: Olympia, WA

Accountability: Floor Charge Nurse reports to the DNS.

Qualifications: Licensed Nurse in the State of Washington and at least 1 year of experience in a skilled-nursing facility and/or medical/surgical experience.

Schedule: Night Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Salary/Compensation: Compensation rate is dependent on past experience and qualifications.

RN Job Skills:

  • High clinical competence.
  • Follows State and Federal regulations.
  • Adheres to and promotes facility policies and procedures including resident dignity/privacy and rights.
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively and function independently when required.
  • Ability to supervise, teach, and evaluate CNA work performance.
  • Demonstrates high quality of documentation and communication with supervisors, staff members, residents, and family members.
  • Completes and documents treatments in medical records according to policies and procedures.
  • Follows universal precautions.
  • Monitors an ongoing program for residents at risk for breakdown and trauma.
  • Completes patient education as appropriate.

RN Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The Registered Nurse assign, direct, and delegate CNA assignments on their respective shifts and is responsible for overseeing the completion of appropriate Dining Room Staff.
  • RNs are required to physically makes rounds 1-2 times on designated shift to assess resident care and assist/evaluate staff.
  • The Registered Nurse gives change of shift reports to on-coming Charge Nurse and demonstrates high quality documentation.
  • All RNs must demonstrate excellent communication skills when dealing with residents, doctors, family members, staff members, and supervisors.
  • Attend family care conferences adding support and help depending on shift.
  • A Registered Nurse is responsible for maintaining staff compliance with Federal, State, Local, and Facility policies, procedures, and infection control healthcare guidelines.
  • RNs regularly attend resident care conferences and communicates changes to staff.
  • Does treatments daily as ordered.
